Promoting Sociality &
Historical/Cultural Legacies
of State College
The University Club was informally founded in 1908
by Penn State faculty & administrators
to create a sense of community among
students & faculty in early days of State College.
UClub was incorporated as a PA nonprofit in 1910 and
continues its activities in downtown State College.
​
Today, the Club's missions focus on
promoting sociality among members &
preserving cultural/historic legacies of State College.
The original house no longer remains standing,
but it lives eternally as a symbol of the Club's contributions
to State Colllege & Penn State for 116+ years.
